A Bridge too far (Arnhem 1944)

The battle of Arnhem was an airlanding and battle during the Second World War round Arnhem from september 17 to september 25, 1944. This battle was a defeat for the Allies, with the result that the north and south part of the Netherlands was not liberated. This defeat, also known as 'a bridge to far' led to the winter of hunger in the west of the Netherlands. HollandDutchTours.nl  will take you to the historic sites of this battle.
